Monkey DUNK - Glue(Zodiac III Beat Contest)

Hi! This is my beat for the contest. I chose Blood Oath as a sample. When I was doing the intro, the first thing I decided to do was to raise the pitch of the melody, which gave me a feeling of lightness, after which I did automate the tempo in the LFO mode and got a relaxed and wave vibe. And in order to go to the drop at the end, I added a little slowdown and crash effect. When the intro was ready, I decided to add a couple of risers, crash and impact, which makes the break stronger. Then it was time for the drums. Although the sample sounds more like a lo-fi style, something dreamy, but I decided to make trap drums with 808 and for me this creates a certain contrast between the calm vibe of the melody and aggressive drums with elements of lo-fi percussion. In terms of arrangement, there is nothing special, because for me in a beat it is not so much important to mix several parts that are completely different in their sounding character, but rather authenticity and stability. The beat may seem boring, but in terms of a complete product, the easier it is for an artist to perform something on a beat, the better, which an unpredictable beat cannot boast of.
