I warped and transposed all samples to fit the BPM and pitch accordingly. The majority of the song composition came together in the first sitting, however the bass line, additions of extra kicks and trumpets and corrective and creative mixing etc. took a number of weeks to revise. After adding the bass line I removed the flute from the drop/chorus and added it to the buildup. This significantly changed the overall tonal character of the song. I then used the original flute sample, chopped it in Simpler on Ableton and resampled for the last two drops. To add the final touch, for the last 4 bars on each drop I transposed the notes from the resampled flute line into a trumpet melody. From there I added multiple layers in different octaves for an orchestral finish to the song.
