DUAL1TY

Hey Cymatics team! I'm D.LO but I'm otherwise known as Dylan. I'm a 16 year old producer from the Dominican Republic. I started producing when I was around 14 on my phone after I jokingly made a diss track to one of my friends lol. Although you may think I have two years worth of experience in the field, I only really started getting serious about producing in january this year, when I first got FL studio. So serious, in fact, that I've spent my savings and basically every paycheck I've gotten on producing equipment (laptop, headphones, audio interface, mic, etc.). My whole life I've really enjoyed music, all I did in quarantine was listen to music, and I all do now is listen to music lol. I use music as an outlet to express and deeply connect to my emotions. Ever since January 5th (my birthday haha) I've pretty much spent most, if not all of my free time learning the ins-and-outs of what makes music sound great. I may not be at a level in my journey where my music sounds exceptionally great, but I hope to be there one day. When I first learned about this contest, I was hesitant, because I was scared of the competition and it would be my first time publishing my music, but I figured that if I won, I'd have amazing equipment and resources to help me boost my career, and if I lost, I'd have another beat made, so it's win-win really. I still really hope I can win this, but if I don't, I'll win next one for sure.
