Zack Falls - Hourglass (Light Song Contest)

We all struggle to stay in the present when time is running out. Dedicated to Cassie <3 I had an amazing time creating this track. This is the first song contest I've ever entered, and I feel as though taking the novel approach of starting from scratch and having to use a specific set of sounds was very beneficial to my growth as a producer. Most of my tracks are adapted from piano compositions, so starting straight in the daw and strategizing the exclusive use of a sample pack was different and a ton of fun. San Holo is my number 1 inspiration right now. He makes the kind of music I've always tried to create and am just now getting a handle on. A heartfelt thank you to Steven, Drew, Sander, and Cymatics for giving me this awesome opportunity. I'm incredibly appreciative of the music you create and for everything you do for our music scene.
